Haiti’s Day of the Dead Art

Haiti’s Day of the Dead combines Christianity with Voodoo Practices to pray for the spirits of the dead. A black cross is sometimes hung up to symbolize the spirit of death, “Baron Samedi”. Voodoo is still practiced today with hundreds who follow this tradition. many people ask for their wishes to be granted on this day and pray for a better life, hoping the spirits of their loved ones will lend them a hand in accomplishing their goals.
