Mad Mermaid Myrtle

“Mad Mermaid Myrtle” is my unique vision of what a mermaid looks like. Myrtle is over the top, outside the box and creepy. Her body is half humanoid and half fish. She collects the skulls of pirates and fisherman who were taken by the sea. Acrylics on canvas with a 3d effect and texture. 18 x 24″

I watch alot of the “Monsters and Mysteries in America” Shows and I also had seen “Mermaids – A Body Found” like 5 times.  So yeah, I guess Mad Mermaid Myrtle just came out of my subconcious mind… Cryptozoology has always been a passion of mine and the hunt for new creatures and unexplored parts of our country has always been an exciting pastime for me.  Remember the Fiji Mermaid. I grew up with Barnum and Bailey Circus and Boardwalk Freak Shows. Stay tuned for The Yeti, Bigfoot, The Loch Ness Monster, The Sheepsquatch, Mothman and The Chupacabra….Coming Soon to this Blog…If you can think of any other oddities which would be cool to paint, please leave a comment…Thank you :0)
