My Thoughts on this Work of Art: “I am really pleased with the end result of this piece. I never know how the painting will look until it is finished although it is created with a picture in my mind. My hands actually work in a blind state of subconsciousness that I am not consciously aware of, does that make sense? If I was aware of my hands working, I don’t think my creations would come out this way. All my art is created in a certain state of mind and I am hoping it evolves into being more advanced and more free, freedom of movement between the mind and the body, essentially.”

Flower Child’s Song – A New Spin on Tattoo Pin Up Art

A combination of the “Day Of The Dead” Sugar Skulls and a Hippie Chick who is also a Tattoo Pin Up Girl. It makes for an interesting artwork that tells the viewer many things and is not a macabre piece but on the other hand a very cheerful work of art with many colors!

I started with the face first and painted the sugar skull in a 3D detail with dots. If you look closely you can see a peace sign in white on her forehead. Her body is decorated with tattoos of an owl on a tree branch, a Koi fish with flowers, a peace sign and a blue teddy bear. Her acoustic guitar is adorned with flowers, vines, leaves and a skelly girl skull with a bow. There are many different pictures here. This painting was created with acrylic paint and varnish medium.  PEACE :0)
