This large colorful acrylic painting is hand painted with a blue background and the theme is a celebration of “Day Of The Dead” set in a Mexican Cemetary setting with detailed figures of a Mariachi Band playing the trumpet and guitar. There is a glowing celestial moon, sun and stars. The angel is painted in the graveyard along with tombstones and more skull art and flowers. New Art – Bloody Big Head – Red Queen Painting

The Red Qween is a portrayal of Disney‘s Alice in Wonderland’s “Bloody Big Head” from the fantastical movie. This is an original acrylic painting with hues of red, pink, yellow, blue, black and white in a raw style resembling folkart and in the tradition of the mexican holiday: “day of the dead” or Dia De Los Muertos. Detailed and hand painted with a small brush and splatter paint for an added effect with a modern touch. Artwork created in 2012 by Laura Barbosa.

What can I say about Dead Heads? This is an artwork from the soul. Feeling a little morbid lately so I started drawing with my paintbrush and this is what I came up with. I was inspired by the Walking dead and Day of the Dead….. let your imagination free and see what you can come up with. I actually really like how the black and white makes these heads dramatic and striking. I’ve always loved dragons, so I decided to paint my first one. I think he is a cool “Dragon Lord” in an Urban Fantasy Style.
